Nights with Boxing Gloves

Photographs documenting her bedtime during a certain period. She could not bear the sleepless nights due to itching all over her body, so she wore boxing gloves to bed. The gloves were not long-lasting for her to use, as all the other gloves made of other materials tore. Although she slept more comically than with any other gloves, this is a record of the ridiculous and desperate truth that inspired her to confront her own illness.

全身の痒みで眠れない夜に耐え切れず、ボクシング・グローブを装着して寝ていた。他の素材の手袋はどれも破けてしまって長続きしなかったからだ。どの手袋よりも滑稽な寝姿だったが、自らの病いに対峙する気概が湧いたばかばかしくも必死な夜の記録。
